This illustration has been making the rounds on the inter-webs for a while now but I thought I would share it again as I start to work on a new project application. The novelist Haruki Murakami just has so much material and imagery to work with.
Vignetten1 An engraving or photograph that shades off gradually into the edges. 2 A short descriptive literary sketch. 3 A small illustrative sketch (as sometimes placed at the beginning of chapters in books). 4 A brief attractive incident or scene in a play or film.
