The Gothic in Adelaide

I never shared any images from, Imagining Interiors, an exhibition held last year at the JamFactory. But it was a really beautiful exhibition which has really stayed with me and I still glance at the catalogue now and then.

The exhibition, curated by Adelaide based arts writer, Wendy Walker, featured work by craft practitioners, designers and visual artists Roy Ananda, Kirsten Coelho, Nico Kelly, Khai Liew, Jessica Loughlin, Sean O’Connell, Amy Patterson, Mary-Jean Richardson and Julia Robinson. These artists (in the all inclusive term) were invited to respond to gothic literature in the historical and contemporary sense of the word.

The exhibition was produced by CraftSouth and presented by the JamFactory. Alongside this exhibition, within the same arts complex (The Lion Arts Centre), the Adelaide Cinematheque at the Mercury Cinema had a film list complimenting the exhibition. Unfortunately I can't find the Gothic Explorations page on their website but it's on facebook.

All images are from CraftSouth (follow the link to view more images and download a digital copy of the catalogue).
